For its sixth edition, MDLBEAST rebuilt Soundstorm from the ground up as a festival city, with four districts branching out from a brand-new centre: Downtown, the Eye of the Storm. It was the main hub for the whole site, the place every guest passed through.
RxTx's Will Hurn was one of three Production Managers overseeing Downtown: five stages and fifty artists across two days, covering jazz, R&B, pop, rock and soul.
Five stages, one hub
Running five stages side by side in the busiest part of a 500,000-guest festival meant juggling very different shows, crews and audiences at the same time, while the crowd flowed around them to every other part of the site. Our role was to keep every stage delivering, show after show, at the centre of it all. Built for live.
